Nishtha Tewari is an interdisciplinary researcher and development practitioner. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Melbourne, and holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Ambedkar University, Delhi. Some of the key clients for whom she has led projects are the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, la Caixa Banking Foundation, University of Cape Town, M&C Saatchi, Busara Centre for Behavioural Economics, NITI Aayog, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Nishtha has designed and managed large-scale experimental studies, impact evaluations, and process evaluations. Her research expertise lies in the rural regions of North India. Her work is focused on understanding new healthcare modalities and long-term household level strategies, with a specific focus on young women. She received the Melbourne Research Scholarship and the Edified Energiser Grant in 2021.
